What is a cyber attack?
A cyber attack is a malicious attempt to access, destroy, alter or steal data or disrupt computer networks, hardware and information systems causing significant disruption to business as usual and real distress to individuals affected.
Cyber attacks take many forms, for example, malware, eavesdropping and denial-of-service attacks, phishing and password attacks.
Cyber security is by definition a rapidly evolving field. The very latest techniques and technology are employed to counter malicious attacks from perpetrators who are always looking for new ways to access, disrupt and take advantage.
